The aim of the design was to create a hotel that refers to a small settlement, its square in the center and pedestrian paths that lead to the individual apartments-houses. Particular emphasis is placed on the integration into the landscape and the extremely sloping ground. The shape of the volumes and the use of planted roofs ensures that ultimately no building is an obstacle or visual nuisance to someone behind it. At the same time, through selected planting that refers to the natural vegetation of the area, the connection with the wider landscape that surrounds the unit is achieved.
PLANS
The entrance to the unit is from 2 entrances on the upper and lower side of the field. The common spaces such as the reception and the restaurant and the outdoor common square with the amphitheater is located above and in the middle of the unit. A network of paths runs parallel and transversely along the contour curves, creating a pedestrian grid that leads to the apartments and connects them to the common areas.
The apartments that make up the unit are in total 14. As this is not a classic type hotel, the constructions of the apartments are attributed as independent buildings with the result that they do not share partitions, etc. Each apartment has its own courtyard with wooden ceiling and a pool. In the larger apartments there is also an outdoor kitchen.
